This page sets out how we invoice and receive payment for goods supplied by WanHu Polishing & Abrasives. It forms part of our Terms & Conditions. The payment terms stated on your quotation or order confirmation always take precedence.
Currency
Prices are quoted in the currency shown on your quotation, normally United States dollars. We can quote in other currencies on request; where we do, the exchange basis is stated on the quotation. Unless agreed otherwise, payment must be made in the same currency as the invoice.
Payment methods
- Bank transfer (T/T) — payment to our company bank account. This is the standard method for export orders.
- Letter of credit (L/C) — at-sight irrevocable L/C issued by a bank acceptable to us. We will confirm the acceptable terms and any bank charges before you open it.
- Documentary collection — D/P or D/A through the banks, where we agree to it in writing.
- Other arrangements — for established accounts and long-term supply programmes, by written agreement.
We do not accept payment to a personal account, and we do not accept payment to any account other than the company account named on our invoice and bank details.
Standard payment terms
Unless your quotation states otherwise, the standard terms for a new customer are:
- 30% deposit on order confirmation, before production starts;
- 70% balance before shipment, payable once we notify you that the goods are ready and before we release the shipping documents.
For letter-of-credit orders, the L/C must be opened and confirmed acceptable before production is scheduled.
Established customers
After a track record of completed orders, we can discuss extended arrangements such as a lower deposit, credit terms against documents, or a rolling account for repeat supply. These are agreed in writing and reviewed periodically.
What must match
Because export payments must reconcile with shipping and customs records, the payer name, the contracting company and the delivery consignee should be the same entity, or the relationship between them should be explained before payment. Third-party payments may be rejected by our bank and can delay your shipment.
Bank charges
Our bank’s charges are for our account. Charges levied by your bank, by any intermediary bank and any correspondent bank deduction are for your account, and the invoiced amount must be received in full. For L/C orders, all L/C opening, advising, amendment and negotiation charges of the issuing and advising banks are for the applicant’s account unless agreed otherwise.
Taxes, duties and withholdings
Prices are exclusive of import duties, value-added tax, sales tax and any other destination charges. If your jurisdiction requires a withholding tax on the payment, the gross amount must be increased so that we receive the full invoiced amount, unless a valid double-taxation treaty and the required documentation apply.
Late payment
If an amount is not received by the due date, we may suspend production, withhold shipping documents, or delay further shipments until the account is settled. We reserve the right to charge interest on overdue amounts, and to pass on reasonable recovery costs. In the case of a letter of credit, discrepancies that require amendment may delay shipment and incur bank charges.
Verification and fraud prevention
Our bank details appear on our invoice and are confirmed on our letterhead. If you receive any message asking you to pay to different bank details, treat it as suspicious, do not send funds, and contact us using the email address published on this website to verify before paying. We will never ask you to change bank details by instant message alone.
Invoices and documents
We issue a commercial invoice with every shipment, together with the packing list and the transport document. Please tell us at the quotation stage if your accounts payable system requires a specific purchase order reference, tax number or invoice format.
Need our bank details or an L/C check?
Confirm the payment route with our team before you send funds to avoid delays.
