Description

Product description

This WanHu abrasive wheel arranges gray flaps radially around the center. The open radial structure can follow shaped surfaces and allows the abrasive edges to contact the workpiece.

Uses

Use for cleaning, light grinding and surface refinement on compatible contours, edges and irregular shapes. Confirm mounting dimensions and rated speed for the machine.

Safe Operating Speed

A bigger wheel must run slower. The limit is set by peripheral speed (how fast the rim travels), not by a fixed RPM number — so the safe RPM drops as the diameter grows.

Recommended peripheral speed20–30 m/sGeneral standard for metal mirror finishing
Above 30 m/sDo not runWheel can shed or burst, and the workpiece burns black
Safe maximum speed by wheel diameter
Wheel diameterSpec codeMax. safe speedPeripheral speed at that limit
Ø 100 mm4"4 × 50≤ 6,000 RPMMaker rating on small wheels — the arbor and guard set the real ceiling31.4 m/s
Ø 150 mm6"6 × 50≤ 3,000 RPMMost common size — many makers rate it at 2,800 RPM23.6 m/s
Ø 200 mm8"8 × 50≤ 2,200 RPM23.0 m/s
Ø 250 mm10"10 × 50≤ 1,800 RPM23.6 m/s
Ø 300 mm12"12 × 50≤ 1,400 RPM22.0 m/s

Spec code format: diameter (inch) × ply count — 4 × 50, 5 × 50, 6 × 50, 7 × 50, 8 × 50, where 50 ply means 50 cotton layers. Finished thickness is 12 mm across the whole range.
